Leaving nothing to chance, advanced front air bags* are standard on every MX-5 Miata.

• Advanced front air bags help provide driver and front passenger protection for head and chest* in a front-impact collision; the passenger air bag is deactivated if the seat is empty or a child’s weight is measured.
• A switch on the dash allows you to deactivate the passenger air bag when a child safety seat needed.

* Always wear your seat belt and deactivate the passenger air bag when using a child- or infant-restraint system.

Should a side-impact collision occur, the Miata’s standard side-impact air bags* will help reduce injury.

• Side-impact air bags* help provide protection of chest and abdominal areas.

When the road gets fun, these systems help it stay safe.

• Standard Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)* modulates the throttle and brakes when over- or understeer is detected, helping to keep the vehicle stable during aggressive maneuvers
• The 4-wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) pulses the brakes hundreds of times per second to help prevent wheel lockup so the driver can make controlled and confident stops
• Tire-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors the pressure in all four tires and alerts the driver before any tire becomes critically low.

* Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) is an electronic system to help the driver maintain control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices.
